Happy Endings

News

26th August

The shelter continues to be fully occupied and new homes are proving very difficult to find. Some of our residents have been with us a long time and would love to be moving to a new home, we can only hope that once the holidays are over activity on this front picks up. The requests to take cats in continues at a high rate but with our income falling and costs rising, together with the lack of new homes we are not in a position to help. Managing this situation is not made any easier by the government's drive to cut their costs, we have just being informed that the local council is to charge us for collecting our waste a service they have previously provided free of charge.

The number of people attending the country shows this summer continues to be below average which is affecting our takings.

With our events income dropping all donations are very welcome and badly needed. Recently it has become possible to make online donations to us, a link to a secure donations page and also information on other ways to make donations can be found on the HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT US PAGE of this site.
